Missouri Virtual School

Facilitator Handbook

The facilitator is the key contact person at the participating schools.  The Missouri Virtual School facilitator is an integral and pivotal player in the success of the distance learning experience for both the MVS teacher and students.  Communications between the MVS and the participating schools will be channeled through the facilitator.  It is essential that the facilitator maintain regular contact with the school guidance counselor(s), the MVS teacher, and others as needed.  To support communication and collaboration between site facilitators and teachers, the facilitator must have access to, and use, e-mail.

The facilitator is responsible for coordinating MVS project efforts within the participating school and is the primary contact person for the MVS teacher. Facilitators are responsible for taking attendance and performing other duties such as fax transmissions, monitoring exams, and responding to emergency procedures as specified by the indvidual school.
